Bing is your Buddy
Forget 'Google is your friend' because I now respond to most of those with some alternate links from Microsoft excellent new search engine and announce 'Bing is your Buddy' in reply to the cocky individual who thought the 'google is your friend' was clever. ;/
Seriously tho... I've been playing with Bing for a few weeks now and am very impressed. Microsoft's new search site, Bing, adds touches intended to make everyday Web searching a simpler and more enjoyable experience. It's way better than the old Live Search and MSN offering: Bing also tries to make it easier for people to shop online, book travel and find credible health information.
I love the fact that I can log-in and use it's advertising and website registration function to add websites that I manage to the search listing and the Microsoft Advertising program is so much easier to use than Adwords and Adsense.

I don't know why it irritates me when someone says this on a forum. But it just kind of niggles a bit. It's got that smarmy 'have you ever heard of this thing called google it lives on the internet and can find all kinds of neat stuff for you' element to it... or maybe it's just because I had that Starbucks Mocha with an extra shot and their power dust stuff this morning... maybe it's got me firing on all cylinders a little too quickly ;)
So, if you ask someones opinion and instead of (gasp) coming up with an original answer, and telling what they think, they resort to a simple Google Search and then just copy/paste the links... well... I would rather they answer with a standard statement of "Im sorry but I dont have an answer to that query. I recommend you use an Internet Search Engine. Have a nice day."
Come on... anyone can do that... do you really think that it's clever to let a search engine query its own database and present the results for you to pass to other people as if it's a revelation?
Improve Google Search Engine Ranking
Every website needs a good ranking on the search engines. If your website is listed way down at the bottom of the heap, or worse still not listed at all, then how will your friends, colleagues or customers find you?

You probably know the answer. It's Google.
Google has simply taken the Internet search engine world by storm. It now reportedly handles over half the worlds Internet searches. Obviously, this means that getting a high ranking on Google is hugely important to business people and private web designers alike.
Google is used as the homepage for many Internet users. It's built into the browser through which I am typing this story. It's the King of Search engines. With others using the DMOZ (Yahoo, Lycos, Excite, Overture, etc..) and microsoft's LIVE search services in competition, Google still remains head and shoulders above the competition. It's relevance to what it returns is amazing, not to mention the speed in which it returns the results... that's pigeon power for you!
The phrase "Just 'Google' it" has shown how easily Google has immersed itself into the public mindset after just a couple of years. It's now a common word known to every Internet user. More famous than Coca Cola maybe?
Google stores information on billions of websites, related pages and documents. It's unique indexing service means that companies exist solely to ensure that their clients websites are constantly spidered and ranked highly on Google.
So how do I increase my Google Ranking? The simple answer is "with careful consideration and relevant content". While each keyword is particularly important, it is more important to realise that the content of the page itself is even more relevant. Google's search technology ignores spamming and keywords that are repeated over and over. It is more interested in content that is relevant to the meta keywords in the header, the use of Image tags, headings and of course links to and from other websites that are already on Google.
What ever the future holds for Google... this much is true... It's here to stay. So if you haven't submitted yourself (just go to Google and search for 'google addurl') then what are you waiting for?
